I capture the non-specific moments of women’s lives. Occasionally autobiographical, my work is figurative and focused on the female form. It explores themes of female sexuality, transitions, relationships between women, and motherhood. I’m interested in relaying the feelings of women’s inner selves versus what they put out in the world. My process begins with an image, or my own current state both physical and emotional. From that I seek out a distinct facial expression or gesture that evokes a feeling that is strange, provocative, and curious.
